To enhance our curriculum, we are always bringing in guest teachers to provide new experiences for our students. We have welcomed seasoned Broadway dancers, Rockettes, choreographers, and company directors. We know that opportunities like these inspire our dancers to dream bigger!
Malia Burley
Malia Burley is a HSSOD alum, Campbell graduate, business professional, dance teacher, and Carolina Panthers cheerleader! In the summer of 2019 she came home to HSSOD to teach two amazing classes! Students of various ages learned either a Jazz or Hip Hop number.
Clay Rice-Thompson
Clay Rice-Thomson, Broadway dancer and SDC fave, has been a staple on Broadway since 2012. His resume includes performances in Newsies, Matlida, King Kong, and Wicked. Clay was able to break away from his busy schedule to visit with HSSOD! In July of 2018 Clay taught two master classes for dancers to learn the “Revolting” audition piece from the musical, “Matilda.”
Angelina and Colt Prattes
In October 2019 SDC members were given the chance to work with Angelina and Colt Prattes who were members of the “Aladdin” national touring company. They have taught at Broadway Dance Center, performed on Broadway in several shows, toured with Pink, starred in ABC’s Dirty Dancing, as well as NBC’s Smash.
Neha Mujumdar
Neha Mujumdar is an Illustrator and Dancer. When HSSOD was dancing at SparkCON in 2019 her amazing and unique style captivated us! We were honored for her to join us to teach a master class in classical Indian dance.
