Silent Auction Success!! Minimize

Thanks to everyone for all of the support Springs Dance Company received through the Silent Auction! You helped us raise 5,824.00 which will provide funding for costumes, community outreach projects, and production costs for their concert in March.

Anyone who would like to make a 5.00 donation to SDC by having their hand painted to decorate the new studio can still do that November 10-15 during the afternoon/evening hours at the studio. So many people wanted to do this, but couldn’t make it to the event. So, we hope you will take advantage of this extended opportunity!

Special thanks to Francisca Yanez, Nikki Bird, Cappy Polk, Terry Pavone, Theresa Lewis, Katherine Herring, Deanne Guarino, Kristin Vanderbeek, Cathy Kauffman, Beth Meyer, Jill Dunn, Amy Fisher, and all of the Dads who helped to organize the October 25th event! We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help!

Want a chance to win a free year’s tuition? Enter our drawing on October 25th for just one dollar. Again, proceeds go to SDC. You must be present to win at 9pm when the drawing will be announced.

A highlight of this year’s event will be the addition of our Fall Open Dance Night. There are two dance performances: one at 6:30 and one at 7:30. Dancers who signed up to participate have been assigned to one of the performances. This event is open to dancers of all ages to create something new in any dance style they choose. NEW dancers who choose to choreograph to holiday music will have the opportunity to be voted on by the audience to perform at this year’s Holiday Cabaret!

Springs Dance Company Silent Auction Fundraiser

As outreach programs of the Holly Springs School of Dance, the Springs Dance Company, including the Junior Company and the recently added Apprentice Company, are nonprofit multi-age dance organizations with the mission of bringing dance to people who might not otherwise have the chance to experience it. Since 2000, these dancers have provided a day of dance at the Children’s Home in Oxford, served as “Artists in Residence” at Willow Springs Elementary and performed at community events, malls, museums, and nursing homes. Every winter the companies host a performance which serves as a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. The annual event has raised more than $50,000 to date.

The Springs Dance Company needs your help. Funds are needed for expenses such as costumes, equipment and transportation. To raise money for these expenses the combined companies are hosting the sixth annual Silent Auction at the Holly Springs School of Dance on October 25, 2008. The dancers hope to raise $5,000. Your help is needed to reach that goal. Both auction items and cash donations are gratefully accepted.

Donors to this event will be recognized in several ways. A large poster listing all business donors will be displayed during the night of the event. All donors will be honored on the Holly Springs School of Dance website as well as featured in the program distributed at the six performances at the Fletcher Opera House this spring. These programs will reach families in Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary, Raleigh and surrounding areas.

The fair market value of your donation is a tax-deductible donation to the Springs Dance Company.  Please download and complete the donor form from this page and return it with your donation to the Holly Springs School of Dance so we can provide you with a donation acknowledgment for your tax records.
