Silent Auction Reminders - Contact Names - Items Due October 9th

It's time to bring in donations for the 2010 Springs Dance Company Silent Auction!

Each family is responsible for providing or soliciting at least one donation, but it's perfectly fine to do more! There is also an option to donate $100 for those choosing not to participate.

This year there are two persons assigned from each Springs Company age group to assist with questions, coordination, donations, etc....but feel free to ask any committee member for assistance:

Senior Girls: Terri Pavone and Francisca Yanez

Junior Girls: Cathy Kauffman and Donna Lewis

Apprentice Girls: Pamela Barrett and Michelle Holden

Silent Auction - Coming October 16th, 3-6 PM

Oct 16th: SDC Silent Auction and Open Dance Day

WIN an i-Pad and 1 Year Tuition!

This will be a very special day at the Holly Springs School Of Dance with tons of creativity, games and auction items up for bid. We want all of our HSSOD families to share in this fun “Family Friendly” event! The Silent Auction event supports the company throughout the season.

Watch this space to find out what fabulous items will be up for bid this year! It will be hard to beat last year's items which included U 2 Concert Tickets, Hurricanes hockey tickets, Releve Gift Basket, Yoga Pam Gift Basket, a Mountain Weekend Escape, great selection of beautiful and unique Jewelry, ECU tickets, Golf Outings at Devils Ridge and Cypress Landing, terrific gift baskets from local merchants, and services for the whole family will be open for bidding at great deals! You can start your holiday shopping with us!

There will also be a chance to win a year’s free tuition and an i-Pad!

The highlight of this year’s event will of course be the Fall Open Dance performances, times TBA. This event is open to dancers of all ages to create something new in any dance style they choose. NEW dancers who choose to choreograph to holiday music will have the opportunity to be voted on by the audience to perform at this year’s Holiday Cabaret!

SDC Company Members - It's Silent Auction Time - We Need Your Help

What can you do? Our goal is for every SDC family to donate and/or obtain a donation for the auction. As a non-profit, SDC counts on local businesses and private donations to purchase costumes, offset travel costs, and help with production costs.

Need Ideas for Donations?

Do you have access to a beach or mountain cottage?

Do you have a special talent or craft that you can share? jewelry making? painting? knitting? babysitting?

Do you have tickets to a sporting event or concert to donate?

Is there a merchant you frequent whom you could ask for a donation? restaurant? gift shop?

Springs Dance Company Silent Auction Fundraiser

As a community outreach program of the Holly Springs School of Dance, Springs Dance Company, including the Junior and Apprentice Companies, is a nonprofit multi-age dance organization with the mission of bringing dance to people who might not otherwise have the chance to experience it. Since 2000, these dancers have provided a day of dance at the Children’s Home in Oxford, served as “Artists in Residence” at Willow Springs Elementary and performed at community festivals, malls, museums, and nursing homes. Every year the companies host a Holiday Cabaret performance and actively participate in Relay for Life, both benefitting the American Cancer Society. To date, Springs Dance Company annual event has raised over $60,000 for this organization.

Accordingly, funds are needed for expenses such as costumes, equipment, food and transportation. To raise money for these expenses the companies are hosting the 9th Annual Silent Auction on October 16, 2010 from 3-6 p.m. at the Holly Springs School of Dance. This year the dancers hope to raise $6,000. Your help is needed to reach that goal!  Donated auction items and cash donations are both gratefully accepted.

Donors to this event will be recognized in several ways. A large poster listing all business donors will be displayed during the night of the event. All donors will be honored on the Holly Springs School of Dance website as well as featured in the program distributed at the six dance recital performances at the Fletcher Opera Theater this spring. These programs will reach families in Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary, Raleigh and surrounding areas. 

The fair market value of your donation is a tax-deductible donation to the Springs Dance Company.  Please download and complete the donor form from a link on this page and return it with your donation to the Holly Springs School of Dance so we can provide you with a donation acknowledgment for your tax records.
