Since we know what a joy it is to observe your child in motion, we have installed observation windows in all of our studios. In addition, we will have an informal sharing every couple of months where parents can sit in on an entire class. We will give you plenty of notice as to which class will be shared.
We will always be open on Wake County Public School's Teacher Workdays.
Please follow the monthly newsletter for reminders about when we are open and closed and for any changes to the schedule. To receive the monthly newsletter by email, please register here on the website. Click the Register link on the top right of any page. We have a nine month dance calendar based on four classes a month. The two classes in August (tuition is due on Sept 1st) punch into our calendar for months when we are closed for vacation. The way the calendar fell this year, we ended up with an extra week. We didn't want to charge our dance families for an extra week at the end of the season. We will be extending our Winter Break and will be closed December 14th-January 2nd. Tuition will still be due December 1st, because you will have already received the four classes for December by December 12th. Here's how it breaks down...
- August 17th- September 12th (1st Month)
- September 14th-October 10th (2nd Month)
- October 12th-November 7th (3rd Month)
- November 9th-December 12th (4th Month)
- We are open Monday, November 23rd as a make up day for Labor Day. We are closed November 24-28 for Thanksgiving. This week is not included in our four classes.
- We will be closed December 14th-January 2nd for Winter Break.
- January 4th-30th (5th Month)
- February 1st-27th (6th Month)
- February 29th-March 26th (7th Month)
- We will be closed March 28th-April 2nd for Spring Break.
- April 4th-30th (8th Month)
- May 2nd-28th (9th Month)
Young Dancer Recital will be May 7th-8th with Dress Rehearsal on May 5th and 6th. Performances will be at the Holly Springs Cultural Arts Center. Two classes will follow the recital for Awards/Post Recital Fun.
All other classes will have Dress Rehearsal the week of May 31st-June 2nd. Recitals will run June 3rd-5th at the Fletcher Opera House in downtown Raleigh.
Please check the website or call the studio when ever there is inclement weather. We will not necessarily be closed when Wake County Public Schools are closed.
In the event of a class cancellation, information about a make-up class will be passed out at the next class meeting.
Make-up classes will be given to students by participation in another class. There are no refunds for missed classes. Pleae make every effort to schedule other activities around dance class. Students trying for Perfect Attendance cannot do make-up classes in order to receive the award.
All costume fees are due by October 15th. The fee schedule is as follows:
- ages 3 to 9 - $55.00 per class
- ages 10 and up - $60.00 per class
Our selection of costumes for older students at this price range will better meet our dancer's performance needs. If your child is not going to participate in the recital, please let your instructor know as soon as possible.
In order to help with the rising cost of putting on our yearly recital, each student over the age of 6 will be required to pay a $25.00 recital fee due by April 1st. The young dancer recital fee is $15.00 and is also due by April 1st. Two tickets will be issued to each family. Additional tickets will go on sale in March, 12.00 for students 6 and up, and 6.00 for the young dancer recital.
All fees are due by the 1st of each month. After the 10th, a five dollar late fee will automatically be added to your next month's bill. We do not send reminder notes about tuition. There will be a $20.00 service charge for returned checks. Payments may be mailed to the studio or paid directly during studio office hours in either building, or may be paid online. There is also a tuition drop box located in the lobby for your convenience. We also accept Visa, Discover, Master Card, and American Express.
Pre-School Aged Dancers
Our 3 & 4 year old classes will do a Ballet piece only in the recital. One piece is plenty for them to remember.
Please make sure that your child has a healthy snack before coming to class. Dancers ages 7 and up should bring a water bottle to class. We do have a Dasani machine in the break room with water and powerade.
The area in Studio 136 is intended for dancers ages 10 and up as a place to study, eat, or rest in-between classes. Please do not allow younger siblings to play in this area.
Please use Studio 132, especially with younger siblings. We have created a nice area for them to play or read books while waiting for their brother or sister to finish class.
